I’m not 100% sure how to go about this.
I’m worried that will no primer, there will be no co2 to sit in the space at the top of the bottle.

Is it just a case of filling the bottle to the top and capping for still cider?

It was reading this a week ago.

No different to bottling wine. But you do need a little headspace to allow for changes in volume with temperature changes.

Exactly. Besides which there seems to be a massive paranoia about oxidisation, not sure the tiny bit between the drink and the lid is really going to have much effect. Most (all?) crown caps have also an oxygen scavenging element in the bit that seals onto the bottle.
