Just starting to keg my beers now and looking with interest at adding gelatin to clear the beer - mostly IPA's and amber ales but will be brewing lagers soon so would like them to be nice and clear.

Any help on this process would be great - I guess it's not too difficult but any advise so as not to bugger up the batch would be good. I would also like to know quantities for a 19L batch and what type of gelatin to use.

Or is there an easier method to clear the beer - my bottled stuff is not too bad with little sediment but I would like them better.

Thanks

The easier method is just to leave it longer in the fermenter before racking. It'll clear naturally, but clear faster with gelatin

I get it as cold as I can, around 0°C. Hold it there for 24-48 hours then add ½ teaspoon of gelatine dissolved in 100 ml of hot water and hold there for another 48 hours. Then keg and pressurise.
