Having worked with a new colleague last year and with all his talk of homebrewing - made me decide that I'd like to give it a try, so I've been down to Edina Homebrew in Leith (Edinburgh) and bought all the basic kit I need to start.
I've started with Cooper's European Lager kit which is now conditioning in bottles. Though I must admit, I was a bit paranoid I'd get it all wrong by not cleaning the equipment properly etc but I sampled a bottle yesterday (after 2 weeks) and although it's not quite there yet (obviously) it actually worked (much to my surprise!)
I want to experiment with all sorts of beers, lagers, ciders and wine before eventually moving towards doing all grain brewing. So now I'm going to get reading all of the great stuff on this forum and try to understand it all!!
I'm sure I'll be back on at some time seeking advice from you all.
