Hey All,

Great forum you got here, been reading for a few weeks to get some tips!

Im a complete newb to brewing but I fancied having a go, got a starter kit with a muntons premier lager tin and 1kg of brewing sugar which has been bubbling away nicely since thursday. I was a bit concerned when I measured the OG at 1.035 (kit says 1.036-40) but i think it was about 25C when I measured it so should be in range.

Took a sample today which was 1.010 and after leaving in the fridge for a couple of hours tasted like a flat grolsch - couldnt resist a sip ;-)

See you all around!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, looking forward to experimenting with my new hobby (and drinking the results) Planning the next brew already and the first one is still fermenting. Might try a fruity cider or perhaps a cerveza next although I guess it wont be very sunny when its ready. I did have a lovely duvel the other day although im not sure where to begin with that!
