Just about to make a yeast starter and just realised ive no DME. Ive got some wheat spraymalt and was wondering if this would ok and would i need to adjust the amout, Im making a pilsner with whitelabs wlp800.
 
I'll be shot down in flames by the experts here, but (applying first principles) pretty well any sugar should get pretty well any yeast going. The problem might me that if you start the yeast with one sugar source, then it's not going to work well when confronted with a different one.
