Thanks Dutto. I got a new keg and loads of 500ml ale bottles. Also got a bench capper....are the Wychwood bottles totally useless?I`ve sort of looked into it and it seemed that the two handle, hand cappers were the problem as they don`t fit down past the bulb under the opening so the caps can`t be pulled on as against pushed on with the bench capper..They`re easy enough to fish out of the stash though..Does anyone use a clear bottle per batch to keep an eye on clarity,,or is one best being opened to be sure?

regards

Clint

Wychwood fine with a bench capper.

I use a couple of clear bottles each batch to watch it clear and check on the colour!

I also use a couple of Coopers PET bottles too check on the carbonation. Give em a squeeze and you can monitor them as they carb up.
