hi guys.
i have been making a few diff. turbo ciders over the months some better than others.
i was wondering if i wanted to mke an irn bru flavoured one could i boil a few bottles of the drink and just add it to my apple juice and proceed from there.
any advice would be great

never thought of that
was going to try it with the real thing maybe 20% full ft irn bru 80% apple juice

i am a bit confused about this
am i right in thinking if i boil irn bru it will get rid of preservatives etc then i can use as flvouring . how much do you think i woud need percentage wise
cheers all

thanks for the replies and link i will give it a go and let you know how it goes
going to use regular irn bru first to see

hi all
brew is on but not doing anything been on a week now and notstarted.
hope i boiled the irn brew long enough to get rid of preservatives.
if they are still present what can i do . dont fancy boiling 40 pints of brew.
any suggesstions

Try making a yeast starter, then slowly add the must. Doubling the amount of liquid in the starter every day. I've heard this can work, never had to try it myself though.

cheers i will give it a try and see how it goes some one said try 3 times the yeast and that should do it.
will try little by little and see if it gets going
