on 23rd November I started off a Blackcurrant ribena wine and on the same day I started off a Strawberry wine. I used the same recipe for both and have done nothing different to either.
Both had an OG of 1.100

Today's date 29th Nov
Blackcurrant is now 1.040
Strawberry is now 1.080 and has been for about 2 days.

They are both in the same room and have a temp of 25 degree
I am wondering if I have done something wrong for the strawberry to be so high still.

Any thoughts appreciated

something does seem wrong. :hmm: whats the recipe, what did you add and when? Was the temp stable or did it fluctuate?

The recipe is what I got from this site.
1litre of ribena
750g sugar
1 litre cranberry juice
water
yeast and nutrient
temp has been stable, and the same for both demijohns

boiled juice and half of cranberry for 20 mins disolved sugar then let it cool. Added rest of cranberry, transfered to demijohn. Added nutrient and yeast.

blackcurrant has a thick top of bubbles on it and is obviously fermenting. has 1 plip per 3 seconds
strawberry is fermenting, I can see the bubbles rising but is not bubbly on the top. air lock is plipping one plip per 10 seconds.
