It is time for another educational video and this one concerns the recent studies and discussion around kveik yeast and its pitching rate.
This video starts with background information before looking at the recent published studies by Escarpment Labs and Brülosophy.

Well I made a yeast starter for my first go with it. Maybe that’s why I had a half inch of yeast left on the top a week later that refused to drop.
 
Very interesting. I think i always used to over pitch and never had issues. Will try reducing some spare wort to around 10% and see what happens.
For some types this will be no issue...just a waste of yeast :)
