Evening all.

I plan to do a lager kit as I hear you can get better results than Fosters/carlin/carlsberg etc (all rancid pish watta anyways).
I shall be using hop pellets but was wondering to give it a citrus undertone, would squeezing the juice of a few oranges lemons and limes be an idea? anyone ever tried it?

It's common with grapefruit, I can imagine it with lemons and limes, orange sounds a bit odd. In a 20L batch I reckon something like three fruits would have a noticeable effect, four or even five if you want it to be really up front. Not just the juice though, go at them with a peeler and get the zest in as well.

Cheers I think I'll try the lemons and limes. reason i thougbt oranhes is to add some sweetness to the sour as it where.

Why not add some citrussy hops instead. Many American hops like Cascade are good for that. I've just used Muoteka (a New Zealand hop) on a kit lager and the taster was really good. And hops are considerd sterile.
