made AG8 yesterday, and have been ferementing too hot, so cooled the wort properly to 21degrees and pitched

checked this morning and some pressure has been created but there is no krausen, just thin film of yeast

hope its just due to the lower temp, was 22 now 21

is this normal at these temps, as usually its going strong by now

Edit: forgot to say, got 86% efficiency! sparged the last very slowly!

last time i only got 63%, but think it was poor grain as was very cheap!

us-04, just checked again and it seems to be improving!

its just usually i have 2 inch thick krausen next day

but iv probably been fermenting too hot and getting off flavours, so have high hopes for this one

you mean us 05 0r so4 it its been fermenting too high it should have started sooner the yeast will usually tolerate up to 25 deg c we always start fermentation off at 22 deg c then when it gets going drop down to 18 deg c.

yes sorry s04!

its picking up now though, so should be ok, guess it just takes a bit longer at 21degrees

maybe temp dropped a bit overnight too
