Most convenient way to sterilize just a stirring spoon

I use it also for hydrometers turkey basters etc. I also spray my hands as well.

If brewing kit beers then the spoon and everything else is sterilised along with the FV at the start, but why would you need to stir anything again after first mixing?

Hmmm...you're referring to kits in which you don't actually boil?

I believe I've of them though in the U.S. I don't believe they are all that common. It is not a practice that I would generally advocate; I'm just too paranoid about contamination.

Okay I stand by my earlier statement if one is actually boiling the wort otherwise everything that touches the wort, including the spoon must be sanitized.

Sorry for not considering non-boil kits.

I drink enough homebrew so that when I breathe on it the alcohol kills the germs :lol:


I just pour boiling water over anything required :thumb:
