Got a plan for this to fill my k k for new year. Kit plus 500g extra dark DME, 500g wheat DME, 500g brewing sugar, brewed long to about 28l to maximize my keg. Any thoughts on this folks?

The kit makes a 4.5% beer at 23 litres. Not sure what's imperial about that!

Adding malt and water changes the balance and reduces the bitterness. It's probably better to buy another kit can. Get a stout tin like Harvest stout or Coopers. Then you are adding malt and bitterness. Coopers is 1.7kg and would get you to 4.9% with 28L and priming would take you to 5 ish. It would take your bitterness above that of either kit but I think that's probably better than diluting the bitterness.

Never even considered altering the bitterness 🙄 I've got some EKG pellets I could boil up to add some bitterness, maybe that would suffice?
