This was delivered this morning and is likely to distract me from brewing when the weather improves (i.e. no salt spreading)...

Now I need to hide it amongst the brewing equipment before the SWMBO gets home as I forgot to mention I had bought it :laugh8:

Unfortunately will stay tucked away until they have finished gritting the roads.

I was also looking at those although they don't seem to be available yet.
As with most things I was going to let them iron the bugs out then look again next year. price looks good and ideal just to potter around on a Sunday.

I was looking at those as well, you can get one for a good price and whilst not very fast they do look like a bit of fun.
To be honest with all the traffic nowadays, low speed limits and speed cameras, poodling about offers more of an attraction.

Joking aside i had a nasty accident (several broken bones, concussion, 3 days in hospital and a lot of physiotherapy) many years ago when riding like an idiot which put my parents through hell, i will not be riding like that again if i ever do get another bike, call me a wuss if you like but i hope your family never have to go through what mine did.

I've also been there, done that, and got the scars to prove it.
Having ridden now for about 40 years, I fully know the risks and dangers involved.
Riding all year round does make you a better rider. There are so many accidents in the early spring, when
people have laid their bikes up over winter, and jump on them at the first hint of a sunny spring day.
Even though I always ride in an appropriate manner for the conditions, I know there is always a surprise waiting around the next corner!
One day I'll grow up and stop riding. (When hell freezes over!)

    Ride Safe...

Plaster her up with ACF50, and get out and enjoy her. (I know I wouldn't be able to wait.)!!!

I was out and about on my recumbent today and saw a minor three vehicle accident today at a traffic lights. As van had gone into the back of a car, and a motorbike had gone into the back of the van. The front of the motorbike was stuck under the tailgate of the van and as I was riding past the rider was desperately trying to get the attention of the van driver before he reversed from out of the back of the car in front

I'd fancy one of these. No service, no oil and they go a fair distance now

    Any thoughts?

Linear power, no emissions, no fuel charge, probably no tax. What's not to like?...

...Apart from the screaming howl of a triple engine at 12,000 RPM!

I always thought a reverse gear would be handy on a motorcycle. :laugh8:

I think some of the big tourers (Goldwing for one) do have a reverse!

It always scares me when I see the reverse lights of a car in front go on - normally at traffic lights...
