Newbie from Greenock

Hi everyone. I'm Mark from Sunny Greenock by the sea. I'm looking to take the leap into trying Home-brewed lager.
Something I have always wanted to try out but just never got around to it .
I will be hitting a homebrew shop in Glasgow to get myself set up with a beginner's kit . I'm thinking a specialist shop would be best rather than Wilko and the likes ?
Not thinking of going down the bottle route but thinking of refilling empty Torps from the Krups machines. Anyone done this ?

welcome and hello from across the clyde and east a wee bit.
the brew shop next to the roundabout indeed. used to get taken in there 40 years ago by my father. they do home delivery too as far as i remember.
let us know which brew you embark on.
