I've just come back from a weeks Hols in Dorset. We were staying just a short walk from Palmers Brewery, in Bridport, so I booked myself in for a Tour.
The Palmers have owned the Brewery since the late Nineteenth Century, but it's been on site since 1794.

The Brewery sits on the River Brit, and used to be Water Driven. The Brewery owns the land to the left of this picture, up the Hill to it's very own Spring!

The Grain Stores were full, ready for the busy season.

The Mill hopper was full for the next brew.

The HLT on the go!

The Mash Tun, waiting to be cleaned out.

Collecting the wort from the Mash Tun. Love the taps.

The massive Boil Kettle! Used to be coal powered but now run on electric!

The top of the boil kettle, with steam!
An old hop pocket in the storage room.

Modern (ish) FV's
Old FV's, no longer used.

Filled Casks!

It was an interesting tour; lasted about 2 Hours and ended up in the Palmers Wine Store where we got to sample some beers and collect our Palmers half Pint glass!
