Been reading lots of problems on here with leaks etc, I bought a wilko on recently and found that leaked, so did a bit of analysis. The s30 cap seal seemed to twist out of shape when tightened up, and threads didn't, seem to engage cleanly, oninspecting the neck of the barrel I could that it wasn't,t properly round, so out with the digital caliper - turned out that it was about 5mm out of round, and clearly twisting the seal off the sealing face of the neck when tightened up. the fix was to get the neck nice and hot with a hairdryer, then put some pressure on the sides of the neck until it took up a round shape. Took a couple of cycles to get it set, but it worked well and the seal can cope with any imperfection left in the roundness of it. One more tip, rather than waste gas bulbs, screw the lid on and inflate the barrel by blowing into the Open tap. Close the tap and any leaks will be apparent from the volume of air held inside.
Appears that the quality of these barrels isn,t so good but all OK in the end.
