I have a dozen or more pictures of a brewing session I had and I want to post them but I'm not sure how to do it on this forum. Anybody have suggestions?

According to that guide you can't link to an image stored in picasa but I think that you now can, so long as the folder is shared publically. It is very easy:

Right click on the image select Copy Image Location and then paste that URL inbetween the Image tags.

So entering the following:
Code:
[img]https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-C0ExHRKYkgU/UfuySommocI/AAAAAAAAADI/F1Ng5YAk6Sk/w702-h527-no/IMG_20130802_141706.jpg[/img]
Yields

Hopefully everybody can see that or I'll look like a fool :)

Using the smaller photo in the preview stream gives you an image the size that it is in the preview:

But I don't know how stable that image location is...

Most of my photos are in Flickr (which does give you more size options) but it is a bit more irritating to get the url for the photo. Since my new phone uploads to picasa very easily I have started using that. I can post something about how to link to Flickr photo thread if that would be helpful.

The bottom line for image linking as far as I can see, is you that are looking for a location for the picture some thing like
Code:
http://XXXX.jpg
that goes inbetween the Img tags like so
Code:
[img]http://XXXX.jpg[/img]

As mentioned in that guide, if you have a google (gmail etc) account you will already have access to Picasa. You don't need to co to Picasa or download the software if you don't want to. You can just sign into Google, click on More on the menu at the top, and then select Photos.

Thanks man because I already have it downloaded and couldn't get it to work. The links wouldn't take so I'm going to give this route a try.

As yet I have never had a problem using photobucket.
I upload my picture, click on it and copy the image tag. this is then pasted into my forum post. the picture appears.

I've got probably 50 pictures stored in photobucket and it says my storage space is 0%...and all for free
