Returning to wine making

Morning all,

I have not made any wine for a few years, and would like to make supermarket fruit wine. I used to make a lovely apple one, but can't seem to find any white grape juice.
I am in North shropshire , Oswestry, Wrexham area, I have only looked at supermarkets online, do any of you know anywhere in my area?

Welcome to the forum Linda,

White grape juice has been scarce for several years but red grape juice can be found in most supermarkets and after we moved over to it we preferred the wine we made with it.

Must agree - grape juice at a reasonable price is hard to find in supermarkets these days. Last time I saw white grape juice in Lidl just when I needed some (about a year ago). Red seems to be more common but also scarce at times. This year I have done a lot of juice wine without grape, mainly using Apple and/or Orange juice - also prune of which we had 5 OOD cartons in the larder

Have a look here for juice wine I have made earlier this year, a few batches based on prune juice, one with red grape juice, the others with Apple and/or Orange juice. All came out nice.
