Hi, has anyone used this yeast and what are peoples opinions? The data sheet reckons it gives a spicey, peppery flavour. I was going to do a boddingtons bitter clone out of the graham wheeler book and was going to originally use Windsor yeast, but ive got t-58.
Any thoughts?

I've used it in porters and other beers and I like the flavours also like it's strength, akin to Nottingham very strong and fast fermentation

I think it is similar to a Belgian abbey yeast... But not as estery. It flocculates well, but doesn't compact great. Quite wispy.

Nice yeast for a change.

I tried this yeast in a bitter I made. It was all I had on hand (poor planning) so went for it. It turned out a nice Belgian Ale, but not what I had planned.
