Hi everybody,

I am back after over a week without internet. switched from o2 to orange and it didnt go smoothly.

Any way, regarding skunking: Is it only uv light that will cause this effect or will any light do it?

HI Rob
I believe its sunlight (UV) and fluorescent lights too. Ordinary bulbs won't do it.

I think that's right!

yeah just UV, flouresent and energy saving bulbs emit it as well as the sun, which is why it is called "light struck"

I've just bottled my first kit into clear plastic bottles....should these be in a dark cupboard? :hmm:
At the moment they are in my (pretty dimly lit) porch where it is cold.
Should I move them?

I should add that no direct sunlight gets in as we have wooden window blinds pulled down the whole time - and no light is left on for long out there.

I use plastic bottles for some of my brews, but they are kept in a cupboard in the shed. Never had a problem with skunking ....yet.
I'd imagine you'd be okay Tooker, maybe put them in a cardboard box to be sure
