Hi Folks,

Can anybody tell me how long this kit wine last for when bottled before it starts to degrade in quality.
Thanks in advance.

Soloman Grundy...Done
Coopers Canadian Blonde in progress
California Connoisseur nearly scuppered...lovely drink.

I would imagine it would keep for a good few years like all wines would it not? the legend currently known as moley is the main man for your wine questions.

Thanks for your answer, I just realised that I have posted it in the General Beer section, Doh, I,ll get the hang of this soon, i did think that aslong as the wine is bottled or kegged it would be ok as with commercial wines but needed a bit of reassurance

 A bit of an exaggeration, and I know very little about wine kits, simply because I never use them.

Moved to Wine & Cider. :thumb:

As I understand it the Solomon Grundy kits are towards the budget end of the range, and while any wine is going to improve if left for a few months, that sort of kit is intended for early consumption. I would guess that 6-12 months would be optimum.

Did you measure start and finish SGs and work out an alcohol percentage? The higher the abv, the longer it will keep, and I'm assuming this is only somewhere around the 10% mark.
