Have you ever spilt grains on a ditry or wet floor?
For instance that a bag of grains you just picked up, split at the bottom.

Would you still use the grains for brewing?

It happened to me a few days ago, where the grains fell in a heap on an wet floor. aheadbutt asad1 aheadbutt
I decided to scoop up the dry grains, put them in the container and discarded the rest (about 1 kg out of 5 roasted rye).

If they're whole grains, you could shivel the lot up and rinse them through a flour seive. Allow to dry or put in trays in a very cool oven (about 100C) and dry them. You'd need to use them all within a day or so though, I would think.
Ah, I should have looked more carefully. Roasted rye huh. Dry them in the oven as I said and save them, then. What have you got to lose.
