Before I rigged up the hoist I tried using a garden riddle (which works really well if you are dumping from the boiler into fermenter because you can't be bothered to wait for it to drain through the tap) and colander but I always had spillage when I was sparging though the bag.
"What are you doing now dear ?".
"I'm sparging through the bag".
Like the IKEA thing, they do some good stuff. Recently got a big shiny metal mixing bowl for bread making.
