Storing dj's

Hi

I use the 15ltr BetterBottles for making wine, after cleaning and sterilising I store them with a solution of sodium metabisulfite (1/2 tsp to a litre of water) give them a shake every few days and there ready to use.
I was just wondering whether anyone knows if over a period of time this solution can damage the plastic I tend to reuse them about once a month.

Your SodMet solution is pretty strong, that's the equivalent of 5 CTs.

I do the same as you, but with a weaker sulphite solution, only 2 CTs.

I don't bother but make sure my DJs and bottles are cleaned immediately, whenever possible.
