heres a way to use the holes already drilled on the pot if you dont want to put a bottom drain in
and it costs about £8

heres the tap you get with it

and here is it stripped down

if you go to screwfix and order a 3/8x1/2 inch brass bush part number 87443, 99 pence and a 15mm ballvalve part number 11085 £7

and heres the parts you put back on the pot

put the ballvalve on the spacer first as you will need to use this to push it in to get the brass bush on inside the pot this lets you have a 1/2 inch thread inside the pot to put a 15mm nut on it to attach anything that size

I'm surprised you got that to fit well because it is not actually a 3/8" BSP thread :hmm:

it fitted no problem at all [/quote:1kgu1r0a]

Fair enough, perhaps they supply them with different threads :wha:
Mine certainly would not take a 3/8" fitting.

different sized thread for different sized pots perhaps...very odd though...best manufacturing process would say all threads the same to keep costs down :hmm: ...but then they do come from China

this looks great but do you know if the 70L or 80L versions have a tap? Cant seem to see them on the pics from the ebay site
