I popped into Morrisons earlier, since the cupboards were bare. I'll often buy 3 bottles of cider but today i thought I'd treat myself to an "IPA". I'm just starting to drink a brew of my own which is largely based on Citra hops so I thought it sensible to get something using Citra. They don't seem to stock Oakhams Citra but they did have Hopnik Citra IPA which is apparently brewed by Robinsons.
I drank it first tonight and it was good. Nice level of bitterness, a slight sharpness, well hopped and a slight sweetness leading to a drier finish. It tastes distinctly of Citra but isn't dominated by it
A real treat until I tasted my own! Slightly less bitter but sweeter, mouthfilling and just plain luscious.
Glad I'm brewing my own.
