Looking good md :thumb:
Adding that smoked malt is going to be more than just a tweak though ;)

Great brewday MD, i`m getting really tempted to brew your recipe seems to have some excellent feedback :thumb: the smoked malt sounds really interesting it should give it an authentic taste

Looking good MD. Looking forward to seeing what the smoked malt brings to it!

   That's a fair lot of CRS.

I did 50ltr of water though, But yeah It's higher than severn trent state in their water report.
I'm going to take another couple of samples over the next few weeks to get an average.

One other thing to be aware of are that some Alkalinity test kits are more accurate than others. the Salifert one that I use I have checked against a very accurate lab analysis, and it is within 5% . .The variation being the determination of the colour at the end point . . . Some of the others are much less accurate than this.

I did have another make of kit. Already ordered the salifert kits to make sure. Oh well whats it going to give if it is too much crs in the brew?

Not really going to make a massive impact . . . you may notice a difference in attenuation, but that should be about it . . . Haze isn't going to be an issue in a dark beer. . . .

Well T-58 has worked it's socks off again pitched yeast sunday afternoon tonight it's done by the looks at 1.016 :thumb:
Will leave till next sunday to clear up
Oh and Aleman my god what an inprovement that smoke has made!!!! Glad I didn't go for 10% and 4.5% is still quite strong!! Really liking Smoked malt good job I have 3 kg to consume!!!
