When I did the kit last time I did it straight up and was amazed by the quality of the beer I got from it which has put it in the firing line for some tweaks using it as a base.
I steeped 20 grams of Challenger and 20 grams of Goldings for 20 minutes and added them into the kit alongside 500 grams of beer enhancer giving an OG of 1048 at 23 liters. I've pitched Wilko Gervin yeast (nottingham)which with it's high attenuation should give me around 5% ABV. A further 20 grams of Goldings will be dry hopped into it around 5 days in to the fermentation and left for around 5 days or until fermentation is complete. I think should give this lovely little pale a bit more bite :thumb:
