Im starting off my second and third batches of Wurzel's orange wine tonight. Last time I used champagne yeast. I had some perfectly drinkable wine after only a couple of weeks. I still have a couple of bottles saved to mature.
Im wondering if the champagne yeat makes a difference. For eg, will it ferment in the same time with a normal wine yeast?
I have a sachet of champagne yeast for one of the new batches. Im not sure whether to stick with it for the other one as well. I also have a tub of Young's general purpose yeast which the label states is for 'beer or wine'. I bought it in error a couple of months ago. What sort of results would this produce?
Cheers.
