What's the difference between Klarstein Mundschenk and Brauheld

I'm considering buying one of the Klarstein brewing systems but it's not entirely clear what the differences are between them. I've been brewing all grain for a few years now but my current equipment doesn't make it easy to do a step mash that's required to make some Belgium beers. I've read good reviews about both these systems.

Any idea the differences between these?

The Brauheld looks like it has a recirculation pipe at the bottom to prevent scorching. Also 5l more capacity.

The Brauheld has the 'anti-scorch' feature. The pump has two discharges, one to the top, recirc pipe and one which 'blows' water across the bottom to prevent scorching on the heated part.

It's easier to compare them on the Klarstein.co.uk website.

The Mundschenk has six programme steps; the Brauheld has only four.

Prices on Klarstein.co.uk change frequently, so keep checking. You get a£10 discount code just for signing up to their newsletter.

Also, consider getting a boiler for the sparge water if funds allow.

The controller on the Brauheld has the same fault as the Bulldog, in that the timer won't start unless you 'recalibrate' the temp twice. It's needs to be set to 102C to get a rolling boil but won't start the timer because the water never reaches 102. I don't know about the Mundschenk as it has a different controller.

I have this 45L version which is the same design as the Klarstein if you want to PM me with any questions

I've already got some 50l boiler that I can use for the sparge water.

Thanks for the tip on £10 off discount.

So do you think the anti scorch feature is work it?

I am interested in the Klarstein too. The pieces are better than others and it comes with a wort chiller. I hear it can go down to sub- £300? Any advice
