Would you still homebrew if you lived in Germany @ 60p a litre

My German friend told me homebrewing is non-existent in Deutschland. At around 60p a litre for beer he sees no need. But if you moved to Germany or the Czech Rep, etc... Would you still homebrew? Personally I started years ago for cost reasons, but now it's a hobby and I'm not so sure I'd give it up. Conundrum

yeah, I don't really do it for cost reasons. I like the process of brewing almost as much as the drinking.

I'd carry on, it's not about the money for me either...in fact, once you've included equipment etc the costs can be fairly similar to commercial beer.

For me it's a hobby rather than a way to produce cheap beer. I would carry on as I make beer that I like rather than beer aimed at the masses.
