No matter how carefully I pour my bottles I always seem to end up with a yeasty taste in my beer, does it just need leaving longer in the cool? It's had two weeks in the garage but seems to be quite loose.

I Could be the yeast. Some compact down quickly and firmly. Some not some much. S05 is a bigger for it, but I find after a week or two in the cool it pours a nice clear pint.

I'm only using the kit supplied yeast the moment, I understand that this might not be as good quality?
Also I only bottle when it's clear and yet it still has sediment in the bottoms of the bottles.

Do you bottle when clear? I transfer to second FV after main vigorous stage of fermentation has finished (I think from another post you do the same) but some will also transfer yet again before bottling into a bottling bucket to get away from the trub...

then 2 weeks in bottle in the warm to carbonate and 2 weeks in the cold at least to condition, the yeast compacts during this time also (how much depends on what yeast you use)...

(edit) whoops we posted at the same time there...

You will always get sediment at the bottom of the bottles, that is from the carbonation.

Should be leaving bottles in warm for 2 weeks then 2 weeks in cold MINIMUM.

after that you'll have clear beer.

Yes I rack into secondary, then put the priming sugar into an fv and rack into that before immediately bottling. Two weeks indoors then at least two outside, no matter what the yeast gets into the glass, must just be the yeast type.
