And some nibbles to go with it.

So I drank this yummy NEIPA courtesy of @DocAnna yesterday evening. I didn’t have time to post this at the time so I thought I’d do it now.

I don’t pretend to know anything about reviewing beers but I will mention my thoughts.

I wanted to take the photo outside because the lighting was a little dull inside and I wanted to capture the stunning colour. The taste definitely matched the colour!

Picking out flavours is not my strong point but I definitely got a lot of pineapple, and the mouthfeel was how I’d imagine a NEIPA to be, full and thick in your mouth. That’s just how I like it to be, along with the hoppiness.

Forever grateful to be included in beer swaps (it makes me feel like part of the team). Thank you so much Anna. Your beers never disappoint!

I look forward to having something decent to share very soon.

First proper taste of my ESB (the first time was a little too early and I was pished). A very nice simple beer, just as a bitter should be. Maybe could do with a little more caramel sweetness but other than that I'm pretty happy with it 🍻

That looks lovely. I prefer Erdinger glasses for all styles, too. Had to buy some from Amazon as I haven't found anywhere over here I can nick them from.

I do love this glass but it rarely gets an outing due to my fear of knocking it over! Always my go to when I'm having a wheat beer though

All my favourite glasses apart from my two pint-size Erdingers have broken over the years: pisssed in charge of the washing up, dog's waggy tail, pisssed in charge of putting up the parasol, etc, etc. So bit the bullet and ordered a half dozen box from Amazon for €24. They're 500ml and exactly the same size as the pints, but the measure line is slightly lower.

Judging from the photos, it's good weather on you side of the Channel. It's absolutely hissing down in sunny Brittany and has been all day.
Anybody following the Tour de France ? Some silly old bat leapt out of the crowd with a cardboard placard and brought the whole peleton down. Hope they hang her.
