Just watched the Sky Arts doc on ‘Morrison Hotel’. I’m a massive music nerd and even bigger Doors fan, watching the surviving members talk about the album and play a couple of tracks in the studio was amazing. But watching the album’s engineer Bruce Botnik play the mixing desk with the same level of musicality that Manzarek, Krieger and Densmore exude was actually humbling.

Just listening to AccuRadio's progressive stream and Zappa'a Pro-Jama People came on. I said to myself "What the eff is that carp?" by the time I'd got the screen up and found the skip button I was so impressed I ordered the album to give it a proper listening to. Can recommend the music stream, there's some great stuff "Gentle Giant" is strutting his stuff at the moment- don't think I'll be looking for a copy of Octopus, but it's nice to hear "River" just once.

Another Zappa classic, written during turbulent times in American history.
People remember his wacky lyrics but he was also an insightful political

Unfortunately I only ever had Zappa on CD and I don’t have a CD player any more. So, going with this now instead.
Great album and great song.
My particular favourite on this album is Land Ho!
Currently enjoying a Maggies Leap IPA and listening to the Déjà Voodoo album by Gov't Mule featuring this great track...

As for the stereo, nothing high end. Rega RP1 from Lyric HiFi, Monitor Audio bookshelfs from Richer Sounds and a Chinese hifi valve amp-very good price on eBay.

Can't show you a photo at the moment as my stuff is packed away due to ongoing works at the house. I'm streaming on a pair of Audio Pro C5A smart speakers at the moment.
My normal setup is a Rega Planar 3 that I've had for the guts of 40 years ,although I have upgraded to the 24volt motor with external power supply and white drive belt, a Rega Elicit-R stereo amp and a set of Monitor Audio Bronze 5 floorstanding speakers.
Not that far away from your own setup I'd say...
