Hi guys,

Been after Glycerin for my wines for a while and found a 200ml Bottle in boots for 89p in the coughs and colds section. Is this the same stuff from the bakery isle in supermarkets or should it not be used ?

Glycerine is optional but can improve ‘mouth feel’ of the finished wine. Used at 5ml to the gallon, these little bottles from the supermarket home baking aisle at around 70p are good for 7-8 brews. It works out much cheaper to buy a bigger bottle from the Chemist’s if you’re using it on a regular basis.

Sorry Moley but i learnt the zen art of WOW from a different sensai and as such have not seen these instructions

I did see it in the WOW guide, just wasn't sure what the B.P bit under Glycerin meant so though I would check incase it had added stuff.

Btw has anyone tried adding it to Ciders ?

Cheers

British Pharmacopoeia, it's a set of standards for UK medicinal and pharmaceutical products.

Are there any other words with 4 vowels in a row? :geek:

So, is there any need for it in cider?
