I've got a Pale Ale that's finished fermenting, but my Korny is not ready for use (still drinking the contents -stout) So I was thinking of racking off to a spare plastic PB and leaving it there until the corny is ready. Given that I only prime ales in the corny with CO2 and not sugar, will leaving the brew in the PB for a while start the conditioning process?
Cheers

Personally, if the delay was only going to be a week or two, I would just shut off the heater and let the temperature fall in the Brew Fridge.

Sitting on top of the trub for a couple of weeks shouldn't make any difference to the taste and by the time it is transferred to the Corny Keg it will be a lot clearer; and ready for CO2 carbonation.

Clearing is part of the conditioning process and I would't transfer it to another FV because that would increase the possibility of introducing an infection.
