Looks like fag ash floating on milk.
Haven't you an ashtray you could use.....Looks like fag ash floating on milk.
... I've brewed a white stout, mine was like those that the Sinistral guys complained about in that interview when they said "however, they’re often more golden or pale amber in colour" ... personally, I like that about it, it looked like a pale ale, had the mouthfeel and tastes of a stout.Team toxic is right. It looks disgusting. I've come across white stouts before, the recipe was given but cant remember what they were
I wondered the same thing on the other thread, Sadfield and foxbat had a couple of ideas.Curious as to how they got it so white. Could it be oat milk?

Recipe was basically that for a pale ale but with a big slug of oats and flaked barley (almost 10% of each) to increase the mouthfeel, a small hit of smoked malt (around 3-5%) to start the "dark" flavours off and then heavily bitter it (up at IPA levels of bitterness) with no (or next to no) late hops (like a stout) ... you then effectively use that beer to "cold-brew" a load of coffee beans and cacao-nibs in
