the weather was perfect for a brew today (thanks ;) ) it was supposed to rain all day but the sun shone a little and it stayed dry !

so i brewed Winter Gold!

4700g maris otter pale malt
200g crystal malt
200g white sugar
100g black malt

40g E.K.Golding @90mins
30g E.K.Golding @10mins
1/2 a protofloc tab last 15mins

expected OG 1052
expected FG 1014
24.3 ibu
20.4 srm

yeast s-o4

started around 9am - all done and dusted by 3pm

i added the 200g of white sugar half way through the boil, then the second lot of hops 10mins from the end of the boil.

pretty much hit my targets - got just over 23litres at 1050 (so just 2points out :party: )
really happy with brew day #2 - everything clicked into place and seemed pretty easy!

just about to pitch my yeast starter (wort chiller on xmas list!!)

next brewday...........can`t wait :cheers:
