Just finished my shiny new 50L Tower brewery to brew with until I make a start on the 100L shortly..

Here's the christening recipe so far; likely to change tomorrow when I way the remainder of the hops that are close to there sell by date..

I would mate if anyone can tell me how to get the url info from Flickr once englarged.

Dead easy to construct..

Some 8mm pipe, 8mm compression T-Piece, PTFA tabe, 8mm compression straight, 8mm 90Deg elbow and 8-15mm transition and a piece of syphon tube.

Now for the sharp eyed of you; you'll see I'm about 3.5L short of target and I reckons I know where it went!
2Lt deadspace in MT and 1Lt in the copper which I'll compensate for next time around.
All in all it went pretty well/smooth; I've a little fettling to do but otherwise I'm quite happy.

All done eh... me too, ages ago... had to go out and do stuff!
Looks like you collected a fair bit of debris in your sieve, I've given up using my sieve the last two brews as I always seem to catch the bits in the first couple of litres I recirculate then the rest is bit-free :)
 
Me too normally but I didn't recirc as my tap was leaking a bit and wanted to grab as much as poss...DOH

As I said, there's a wee bit of fettling to be done; which is what its all about eh? :grin: :grin:

Re: sparge arm, How do you get the arm to rotate freely if it is connected to the vertical piece by a compression fitting Do you make the fitting tight with ptfe tape to hold the nut on the Tee and leave it loose enough to spin on the compression ring as a bearing?

I use photobucket to put the pictures up with, it has an edit facility that lets you choose from 4 image sizes and gives you the URL to paste into your thread.

Yes, just PTFE tape it up, compress the olive as normal with the nut then back it off slightly. The PTFE holds the nut, the olive supports the weight and the rest is physics! :)

Cheers for the photobuckit tip; I'm trying to migrate to flickr tho
