Hi,

This is my apple wine/cider I made about 2 months ago. I racked 1 month ago and it tasted great. I have just seen this white stuff developing on top but can't figure out what it is. Does anyone know if this is a bacteria and any advice on whether I should chuck it?

Thanks all

Kevin

More likely yeast having a second fling
Happens a lot.
They can even turn fruit coloring's into sugar for their use.
The little blighters never know when to give up.

Whatever its very,very,very, unlikely to be anything harmful provided your booze is of a decent abv,

This is why people in times gone by made beers/wines because they were safe to drink.Unlike water at the time.

The alcohol was just a plus+++++. :laugh8:
