What is the best sugar to carbonate

I saw this but not sure if it’s any good

Oh, dear, I'm afraid the word "rimming" may have alternative meanings in certain circles.

To answer the question, you want table sugar from beet or cane.
You can add expensive and fancy sounding stuff like honey, syrup or dextrose.
None of it makes any difference and ordinary sugar is cheapest.

Pending how much you need, if you batch-prime a kilo bag will do, but if you prime per bottle, look into sugar cubes:

Pending on the size of the bottle, the size of the cube and de desired level of carbonation, 1 cube would do. I read somewhere it's easy to make them yourselves.
