Hi. I'm a little confused as to how to add a hopstand to BF. If I choose hopstand currently, at 80 C it still seems to add large amounts of IBU's to the outcome? I was under the impression that adding at 80 and below will not extract any bitterness? If I change this to 'aroma' though, the IBU's drop to zero.
Which is the correct way to add an 80 C 15 min hopstand to the recipe generator please?
Cheers!

It's a myth that you need to boil hops get bitterness. Just try chewing on a pellet to prove that.

I recently removed a hop sock full of Citra which had been dry hopping my beer for 5 days. After squeezing the contents back into the beer, I went to have a taste of this "juice" to see how citra-y it was. It was as bitter as Theresa May's tears. So some bitterness is added, but I'm not sure how much difference that would make in 6 gallons.
