Cheeky Vimto

Hello everyone, I am just making up a DJ of cheeky vimto. I have boiled 750ml of Vimto with 150g of sugar. It is now only 650ml . I will add 4 liters of apple juice from concentrate, some yeast and nutrient, is that all I need? I have a hydrometer but no trial jar is it ok to drop it into dj? Not sure I will understand the reading anyway
