I have just finished the first fermentation of my cider, and i am now on the second, after adding sugar. It still isnt very clear. Whats the best way to clear it. When the second is finished i will rack, sweeten and campden to stop the fermentation.
What order do i do this in, and how can i clear it, i have a finings kit, will that help????

Cheers

Have you racked it and then added sugar. If you rack it and it needs to be sweetened then you need to add a cambden tabs and potasium sorbate to stop and further fermentation, if you have add sugar without these it will probably try and start fermenting again. It should clear in a week or so if it is left to stand. Or if your in a rush add the finnings. Also the cambden tabs help preserve the cider after racking as it's open to the air.
