Cooling wort

I have a wort that's cooling down. I need to add about 2 -ish ltrs of water to get it back to the 19ltrs post boil (I took advice and boiled with the lid of this time). I'm thinking of adding 2kg of Ice to the FV when I run of the wort, is there any reason this might or might not be a good idea?
 
As long as it's sanitary then there's no problem at all. I imagine pre-packed ice would be safer than ice cubes made yourself in the freezer.
 
I'm supposed to be brewing in the morning...a saison,so a high pitch temp of around 24 shouldn't be a problem...providing I can get it there...incoming temp is around 22.
 
It doesnt even need to be 'sanitary' I never boil & cool top off water and have never had a problem. I used to freeze water and add it to the FV (before I started to no chill) and iirc I never bothered to boil it. Just froze it and chucked it in the wort
 
well I left the wort to chill down in the garage over night and now ready to pitch the yeast, fingers and everything else crossed for this one.
