Corks

I just made wilko merlot. Put into bottles.

Thing is I used corks but haven't got a tool to put them in. So I've just used my hands and own strength. They're only half way in so I'm wondering is this good enough or is there a way of getting them all the way in?

I wouldn't try knocking them in the rest of the way unless i was wearing eye protection at the very least.
