Hello
A friend persuaded me to have a go at brewing some beer and went along to Wilkos to buy some kit. Followed instructions and brew is now in airing cupboard!
Remember my dad using kits in the 70s and 80s and these were my first taste of beer (he didn't know about it until I got cocky and he realised his stash was going down quickly!!)
Looking forward now to the results. :)

Welcome to the wonderful world of home brewing! Exciting times ahead!

My starter kit didn't come with bottles or a pressure barrel, so I had a couple of weeks of moderate drinking to get enough bottles together! Friends and family can be a big help - everyone seems willing to drink beer for a good cause!

Welcome. I also bought my gear from Wilkos. Be careful though - their instructions promise ready-to-drink beer after 21 days, whereas some people here would not even call that fully fermented!
