Force carbing mini kegs.

What options are there for kegging a small amount (5l) and force carbing it?
It would be really handy for taking beer to friends houses, and to drink an IPA really fresh.

I think you'd have to prime them. Then not good for transporting. Any way you could fill already carbed beer into one? If you have a corny keg or similar, you could knock up a homemade 'beer gun' and carefully fill the mini keg to try out?
