Cardiff, South Wales. It's definitively taller than me and on top of having grown to the top of a post is now growing sideways in a line.

If it makes you happy to do so, there is no detriment, as I've said before, the damn things grow like twitch or bind weed (convolvulus)

I've not even watered the pot, it just grows. It's now full of some little green insects but they don't seem to kill it either, might give it a spray though.

Would now be too late to sensibly be ordering and planting out some hop plants? As in supplied with a little growth and not rhizomes?

You can probably still buy them potted, but I doubt if you can still get them as "bare root".

Target growing strongly

EKG (left) and Bramling Cross (right) not quite as strong but still ok for year 1!

Looking forward to see what harvest time is like now!

My hop plants are being absolutely battered by aphids/greenfly this year.

Mine went in late so I wasn't expecting a crop and there are no signs of cones forming but they are quit large now (its prima donna a dwarf variety). When do the cones form?

Now normally-but everything is late this year. Don't expect too much from 1st year

My Burrs normally form about mid Aug and then the Cones 1 - 2 weeks later.
Be interesting to see as this season was about 3 weeks late starting!
